Upton builds internally heated salt bath furnaces for non-chloride salt applications. Liners are available in carbon steel or stainless steel to suit operating conditions.

Immersion Heating Method

Lower-temperature applications can use electric immersion heaters. At elevated temperatures, furnaces can use air- or water-cooled electrodes with transformers. Gas-fired units use radiant tubes.

Thermal Process Applications

Upton internally heated salt bath furnaces are used for ferrous and non-ferrous processes including tempering, case hardening, caustic bath cleaning, paint stripping, and vinyl or plastic curing.
