# Scott Connected Transformers

Water- and air-cooled Scott connected transformers for salt bath furnaces, with stacked steel cores and bolted casings for disassembly and repair.

## Cooling and Scott Connections

Upton offers water-cooled and air-cooled transformer designs. A stacked steel core and bolted casing allow an Upton transformer to be disassembled for repair. The Scott connection uses individual Main and Teaser transformers.

## Tap and Voltage Options

Multiple tap secondaries can be engineered for a range of voltages and are available with rotary tap-changing switches. Thermostatic high-limit protection is standard for Upton transformers.

## Specialty Transformers

Upton engineers auto-type, series/parallel and main/teaser combination transformers. A main/teaser combination unit can be wired for use as either the main or teaser transformer, based on the primary wiring configuration.

## Power Package Options

Upton can custom-design power packages for salt bath furnaces using single-phase, three-phase delta or wye, and three-phase-to-single-phase Scott connections. Upton designs and manufactures its transformers at its Roseville facility.
