# High Speed Salt Bath Furnaces

For high-speed and tool steel heat treating. A film of salt on each part slows cooling on the way to the quench.

Upton high-speed salt bath furnaces serve tool rooms and tool steel heat treating, as well as neutral hardening and carbide brazing.

## Submerged Electrode Placement

Only the electrode faces touch the salt; the electrodes themselves take up none of the bath space, so the whole bath stays clear for work.

## Conductive Immersion Heating

Parts heat by direct contact with the molten salt, which also supports them in the bath. When the load leaves the bath, a film of salt stays on the surface and slows cooling on the way to the quench.
